Boulevard Babies & Pre - K Academy and Boulevard Little People Academy are family daycare homes which share a duplex on the corner of Boulevard Way and Sylvan Way in the lower Oakland/Piedmont hills. Both homes have successfully provided many children (6 months to 5 years) an exceptional education, going above and beyond kindergarten readiness. BBPKA and BLPA have been in business for more than 10 years. What's truly special about both family daycare homes is the loving environment. Many parents have shared how relieved they feel to leave their children in a place not only where they can learn, but a place that also feels like home. Though the homes are two separate businesses, they share the same philosophy, administration team, website, and some staff. Both program's curriculum is aimed at helping toddlers reach important social-emotional developmental markers, while for our older ages, our focus is to prepare the children for Kindergarten. If you are looking for a special place where your child can spend the most important years of their developmental life, feeling happy and safe, while learning, this may be just the place for you. For more information about either program, please click the corresponding buttons above.

Both of my girls went to Blvd for daycare through preschool and loved it. The teachers are kind and nurturing, and Deltrina is an extremely caring Director who has a magical way of understanding kids. We are sad to be leaving this wonderful and diverse community as my younger one graduates, but Blvd will always have a special place in our hearts.

Our children have very much enjoyed learning and growing at Boulevard. Their teachers are nurturing and work with us to support them through developmental milestones and challenges. Our children come home having learned so many new things, practicing their letters, singing new songs, and proud of their creative artwork. They are always talking about their teachers and their friends at Boulevard. We love the warmth of the school and it will always be a part of our hearts.

Luke has matured so much in Boulevard's care. He is interested in words and numbers like never before and is always coming home with a new song to sing. Boulevard has been an amazing place for our kids.

Our family has been with BLVD for the past seven years, and we couldn’t imagine a more loving, responsible, fun and energetic environment for our two daughters.  Our girls wake up every morning eager and excited to see their friends and teachers at BLVD, and come back every afternoon breathless talking about the art projects, games, lessons and field trips from that day.  We love all of the staff and caretakers – they will take great care of your children too and prepare them wonderfully for Kindergarten!

Greetings,

We are truly excited about your interest in Boulevard Little People Academy and/or Boulevard Babies & Pre-K Academy. We encourage all of our potential applicants to schedule a private, 30 minute tour of the center prior to applying. Unfortunately, in the wake of Covid -19 we are limited in our ability to offer this service. In efforts to uphold CDC Guidelines, we ask that you call our admissions team to discuss your childcare needs prior to any possible tour. During this initial call we can then discuss the possibility of viewing our center. We are hopeful this hindrance to our regular system will not last long.

NOTE: Currently, we are ONLY accepting applications for children between ages 18 months and 4 years old.

"Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children, play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood.”
